Chapter 5 — BlockFlow · Node Reference
5.2.8 Hook node

Integrates external systems and APIs into the flow — the node to reach for when the assistant must call an API, fetch data or trigger a workflow outside the platform.
The Hook node in the BlockFlow designer.
- API integration — GET, POST, PUT and DELETE requests to external services.
- Customisable requests — headers, authentication tokens and body content set dynamically from the flow or user input.
- Trigger external functions — start a payment process or invoke a registration API.
- Response handling — parse returned data and branch on the result.
- Data transfer between systems — synchronise information in real time in both directions.
Typical uses: CRM integration, retrieving weather forecasts, exchange rates or product catalogues, sending form data to an API, and validating user data with an external service.
